The Concern Nanotechnology long-term program includes fundamental and applied research. The program covers a number of nanotechnological trends:
deposition of thin-film structures based on carbon and its compounds using CVD method (Chemical Vapour Deposition);
surface metalization;
deposition of carbon coating on probe surface for scanning tunnel microscopes (STM);
formation of nanoobjects on a carbon structure surface on a chlorine-containing organic compound basis;
formation of metalized nanoobjects on a substrate surface on a liquid state basis using electrochemical methods;
formation of nanoobjects and nanostructures on a metaloorganic compound basis;
creation of nanoscale structures and paths that possess strain-resistant properties on a carbon compound basis;
creation of objects of nanometer scale using organic compounds polymerization;
development of super-fine probes for STMs using the ion sharpening method.
Development of new technologies for local surface modifications at nanoscale level is one of the most important problems. Therefore, the following R&D are underway:
formation of nanoscale structures on a liquid and gas basis on various surfaces;
local modifications of surface electrical, geometrical and other properties.
The following products are underway and in R&D and production phases:
manipulators based on piezo-ceramic elements, which can move objects within the range of fractions of a nanometer to 10 mm (and more) and have accuracy up to fractions of a micron (in a mode of movement) and fractions of an Angstrem (in a mode of scanning);
movement sensors based on capacitive effect;
reflecting optics with high resolution for video-observation systems;
highly sensitive seismic and acoustic tunnel sensors.
Another important trend of our activities is hardware and software development for automatic image conversion and recognition for medical, biological, etc. studies.
Concern develops following products:
Low-cost and easy-to-operate scanning tunnel microscope, with atomic resolution.
Specialized equipment representing atomic-molecular assemblers for performing technology processes of nanometer scale.
Nanotechnological machine complex for a wide range of applications.
Power wide-range single-coordinate piezomanipulator.
